You can download the app on the official LG Apps Store
(Lifestyle category) in your country.

If there are no apps in your country, try accessing the Smart TV Services of another country and download the app from there (see country list).

Disclaimer: the application itself does not contain any channels, but is rather a tool for online video streaming.Setting up IPTV on LG Smart TV is a little bit entertaining but once you do this you dont need anything more to watch whatever you want.

Upload your personal playlist

By default, a test playlist already exists to check how the app works. Next, you can upload your IPTV playlist by following these instructions. You can use this converter to convert the M3U playlist to Smart IPTV format.

General RC commands

  1. P+/P- and Arrow buttons – navigate through pages, groups and channels.
  2. ОК, Wheel, Up/Down – load channel list in Play mode.
  3. INFO, INFOx2 – show programme information.
  4. Number Keys – direct channel selection. “0” – previous channel in Play mode.
  5. BACK – hide channel list and info; go back to primary list.
  6. RATIO, Q.MENU – picture ratio
  7. PLAY – reload window; STOP – relaunch stream.
  8. PAUSE – show stream link
  9. RED – switch to DVB input and back, set timer.
  10. GREEN – EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) + Archive (if supported).
  11. YELLOW – All channels, show digital clock in Play mode
  12. BLUE – Groups, Constant Infobar.

Types of streaming supported on LG webOS

Layers of type UDP: // (Multicast), RTP: //, RTMP: //, RTSP: // do not work on LG Smart TV with integrated webOS. The types of streaming supported on LG webOS are listed here.

UDP: // (Multicast) streams work only using UDPXY. Please contact your supplier for more information.

Stream MMS: // Play only correctly using the webcast video mode Netcast (Emu) set in the application settings.

Changing the Audio Language (only for streams, not VOD!)

The stream audio language is now automatically selected based on the audio language settings (1audio) on your LG Smart TV (see figure below). If you have WebOS TV, you will need to set the webOS video mode to NC MPEG or NC Auto in the app settings to make this feature work. This function works only for supported streams (usually only HTTP, not m3u8).

The audio language of the stream can still be ignored using the following codes in the TXT playlist type:

epgCode, Channel name, http: //123.123.22.11: 8000, ru
avi, Video pro Zajchika, http: //www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4,en

Using this parameter, the strong audio language will be forced. In this case “ru” – Russian. You can check the audio tracks in VLC, the language codes are listed here: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php

Examples: ru – russian, en – english, de – german, lt – lithuanian, et – estone etc.

Track change can be delayed up to 10 seconds. Use only if the TV selects inappropriate track. It could probably work on multicast streams (UDP).

HLS Mode

HLS mode sometimes helps to open flows faster on older LG non-WebOS TVs (except the 2012 LM series). Experiment only with your streams and see if it helps you.

This tutorial is made from an LG Smart TV but should be the same process as on a Samsung TV.

1. Installing the application IPTV on Smart TV

There are 2 ways to install the application, either directly from the LG Store -which is the simplest way- or via a USB Drive for some models.

2. Start application

Launch the application, The screen below shows the Smart IPTV interface. What we are interested for now is the MAC address of the Smart TV.

** If your app is not active, you will be asked to purchase for activation with one-time charge **

3. Application configuration

To use your bestbuyiptv.com streams, you should visit this page:

http://siptv.eu/mylist/

2. Download the M3U playlist (m3u_plus) from the account link you received from bestbuyiptv.com (or resellers) and select M3U for this field.

4. If you have done everything correct, the message “success …” appears with the number of channels.

A. To use the online playlist (the account link can be pasted here).

B. If you want to restore all changes to the default values.

Restart the Smart IPTV app to make the changes you just made.

Now you should see the channel list.
